Patty Fitts spent much of her childhood in northern Michigan and attended Michigan State University. The breathtaking views of Michigan inspire her, with the vivid wild flowers, charming lighthouses, and serene harbors. Marilyn Mars, formerly of Arts Impact, Tampa, says Patty “paints idyllic vistas that invite the viewer into scenes they might wish to visit or remember seeing. Her strength is the poetry she conveys on canvas.”

Patty and her husband, John, have lived in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida for many years. The beauty of these states have provided inspiration for her southern paintings. Ms Mars says, “Each of these paintings looks as though they come from the pages of ‘Southern Living’ magazine, along with the sunshine, beautiful scenery, and a magical glow.”

Patty and John now reside in Palm Harbor, Florida. He has used her art for the covers of his popular inspirational booklets “Gracedrops.” Visit John's website at: www.gracedrops.com

Fourteen of her giclee prints may now be seen at J. W. Filmore’s Restaurant in Petoskey, Michigan.

Patty has studied painting with well known Florida artists, Melissa Miller Nece and Roger Bansemer. The comment most often heard about her paintings is, “That’s where I want to be!”
